R or Matlab Task

I have some trend in a portion of the data (Spatial Point: 40 to 60). The trend in this portion of the data is visible only if the value of R_Samples is much larger. For-example, if R_Samples=50, we can easily see this trend. But if R_Samples=10, we cannot see the trend as it was expected. I want to apply any two techniques to make this trend detectable for R_Samples = 3 to 10. The lesser the value of R_Samples for detecting the trend, the better will be the algorithm. These techniques/algorithms might belong to Kalman filtering or any Time Series analysis (AR, MA, ARMA etc) which detects some trend in the data at lower values of R_Samples. The expert may also use any popular algorithm other than mentioned one if best in our case. Before applying any algorithm, he/she must inform me regarding the algorithm he/she intends to apply
