The main objective is to perform de-noising on a noisy version of the image attached. Follow these steps a) Read the image in matlab using Im=imread('filename'). The image is stored in Im (a matrix) b) Convert the image to double using Im = double(Im). c) Add noise to the image, Im = Im + s*randn(size(Im)), where s is noise level (pick a suitable s) d) Display image using imshow(Im,[]) After these steps, you have a noisy image in the variable Im. Q1) Form an objective using quadratic regularization (Note: In class we have only done the one dimensional case. Here, you need to form the objective in two dimensions. An image is two-dimensional data.) Q2) Solve the primal for quadratic objective and display the denoised image Q3) Form the TV norm based objective function to de-noise the image Q4) Form the Dual problem and solve it and display the de-noised image . Q5) Which denoised image is better? Note: If the image size is too large so that the optimization takes a very long time then resize the image using imresize matlab function or using your favorite image editor
