Need you to help build a RFID diagnostic tool prototype.
Please read, understand and ask questions in your bid response.
We can procure the HW you suggest or you can and it will be paid. (If not specified, we shall assume you are including the HW in your bid)
HW : Must be openly, readily available - like Arduino or RPi or similar.
Packaging may be 3D printer made design, so we can have it built from any 3D
print supply vendor.
Rechargeable Battery ( for 4 hour or so continuous operation) for power.
Keep provisions for 2 buttons and 3 LEDs for some future use.
Support UHF, NFC and standard RFID protocols like EPC Gen-2 UHF Global ISO 18000-6 etc.
Host Comms : Bluetooth, BLE4, Wi-fi (various formats for each). Unique tool identifier needed.
Port for connecting external antenna and power to charge or to power the unit.
Host Software App : Use Microsoft Visual Basic or C# with Xamarin (cross platform). Store the message x-sactions history with timestamps in local DB. Provide a user-friendly UI.
Following 3 modes desired.
1. Reader - send and receive RFID supported standard protocol messages. Manual trigger
or auto poll. RSSI, and 5 additional variables to send to host. Message time of flight.
2. Tag - Send the ID, memory bank data, simulated 5 variables to reader.
3. Sniffer/Spy/listener - It should discover the RFID readers and tags in its vicinity
and trap RFID messages in the air from any readers or tags discovered.
Report the timestamp and origin of the message when trapped. Determine RSSI of each message and append up to 5 additional parameters & send These messages to its host via port in use.
The implementation will be to determine HW (for the power, tags types, frequencies, distances to tags etc.), SW, IDE etc. - get it approved by us, then item 3,2,1 in this order. Provide a user manual in MS Word.
Please allocate sometime in your bid to help develop/evolve the specs together with us and also
after the completion, help transfer the knowledge and train us to continue with future work, if so desired by us.
All the source code, Gerber files, HW PCB designs etc. will be owned by us for this 'work for hire'
The budget is only a placeholder , please bid your best price and time of delivery.
You may suggest any milestones and any payment will be released after delivery of all the
source codes and design work done till that date.
