Here is what I need.
I have a fully functional Split Database - Microsoft Access Application that works very well on a local network.
This application is client-server based meaning Access front end connecting to a networked MS Access file with 9 very small tables in it (7 of which have only 1 field and less than 10 records) the other two have about 30 fields and 1500 for one and 40 records for the other.
The goal is to move these tables from MS Access to a web hosted MySQL database using DSNless connections - I DO NOT want to setup machine or user ODBC DSN's in Windows because many of my users do not have administrator rights on their machine to do so.
I need these tables to be re-established each time the MS Access project is opened with VBA code on my client-side MS Access app... You can create this VBA code in your choice of method (in a procedure, a macro, or when a form opens, or from a button on a simple form you create). For this projects purposes - the MySQL tables can be connected in a Blank access project and I will copy the code over to my client-side software myself.
The main goal is to make sure my end users DO NOT need ADMIN rights on their computer which would be necessary to create Computer or User Windows Database DSN connections. By using VBA to create the connections we bypass the need to set up DSN connections to the datbase.
The simple step by step description:
I provide you a server with server and MySQL database information, location and login. I will also provide my MS ACCESS project backend which contains the 9 tables and the data.
1. I need you to setup the MySQL tables in MySQL on my server with the current data in the MS Access file .
2. Create a procedure/code that runs from MS Access VBA that connects the 9 MySQL tables.
I believe this is a 30 minute project for someone with MySQL and Access experience. I just don't know MySQL.
Please give me your best price and the best time you can have it completed and working.
Please do not respond asking more questions about the project before providing me a quote. The project is described very well here. Please provide a quote and a time-frame - from there I can accept the project and give you the server/MySQL information and send the Access backend data for the Tables that need to be imported to MySQL and then connected.
