I’m producing a mobile game that helps 8- to 12-year-olds learn how to recognise and prevent violence against women. The learning path is broken into three self-contained modules, each of which can shine as its own mini game so the content feels playful rather than lecture-like. An outline of the modules is already prepared in the attached document. Core requirements • Build once, run smoothly on both iOS and Android. Unity or another proven cross-platform engine is fine as long as future updates stay straightforward. • Artwork, UI and dialogue must be age-appropriate, culturally sensitive and fully owned by us once delivered. • Code needs to be clean, commented and pushed to a private repo so future iterations are painless. • The first playable version should be ready within a month; I can stretch to three months for polishing if needed, but the early milestone is important so we can start user testing with schools. Deliverables 1. Three interactive mini games aligned to the module outline, each ending in a short knowledge check or reflection. 2. Signed-off art, audio and localisation files packaged for reuse. 3. Release-ready builds for the App Store and Google Play, plus a test flight/closed track version. 4. Full source code, asset files and a brief hand-over guide (setup, build steps, how to swap out content). Acceptance criteria will be the successful completion of play-tests with at least 90 % of target-age players grasping the key safety messages, and a bug-free run through on both flagship and low-spec devices. If you’re comfortable iterating post-launch, flag that too—I’d like to keep improving the game as feedback rolls in.

Hi — Elias here from Miami. I understand you’re developing a mobile game aimed at teaching children about recognizing and preventing violence. This is a noble initiative, and the potential impact on young minds is significant. What usually matters most here is creating an engaging user experience while ensuring the content is educational and age-appropriate. The tricky part is usually balancing gameplay with educational elements, which can complicate state management and user interactions. My approach would involve structuring the game with a clear modular design, allowing for easy updates and the addition of new features. I would focus on ensuring scalability and reliability, especially as user numbers grow. This will help maintain a smooth experience for kids and ease future expansion. I have worked on similar educational apps that required a strong focus on user engagement and content integration, ensuring that learning objectives were met without compromising fun. A few questions to better understand the scope: Q1 – What specific educational outcomes do you want to prioritize in the gameplay? Q2 – Are there any existing frameworks or platforms you prefer for game development? Q3 – How do you envision the balance between gameplay and educational content? Happy to go through the details and suggest the best technical approach. Looking forward to hearing from you.

Three mini games for 8-12 year-olds around a sensitive safety topic will only work if the experience feels genuinely playful, age-appropriate, and easy to grasp on lower-spec phones as well as flagship devices. The biggest risk here is building something that is technically fine but too heavy, too text-driven, or too blunt for school testing, so I’d structure this as a cross-platform MVP first with the core learning loops, then use the polish window for iteration after feedback. I’ve worked on custom digital builds where clean handover, reusable assets, and future content swaps mattered as much as the first release. For a project like this, I’d keep the codebase well-commented, organize assets for reuse, and build in a way that makes later module edits and post-launch improvements straightforward rather than painful. I can also support post-launch iteration if testing reveals friction points. - Is the attached module outline already detailed enough to define each mini game’s mechanics, or are you expecting gameplay ideation as part of the build? - Do you already have a preferred visual style/reference for the art and UI? - For localisation, how many languages should the first version be prepared for?

Hi, What if the children don’t feel like they’re “learning about violence prevention” at all — they simply feel like they’re playing a game, making choices, helping characters, and discovering what the right thing to do is? That’s the experience I’d aim to build. I can turn your 3 modules into 3 memorable mini-games, each with its own gameplay identity while keeping a consistent visual world and progression system. Instead of information-heavy screens, we can use short scenarios, character interactions, choices, consequences, rewards and quick reflection moments to make the lessons stick. Technically, I’d build it in Unity with a reusable architecture so you get: → One codebase for iOS + Android → Reusable dialogue, choice, quiz and progression systems → Content separated from code for easy localization/updates → Optimized assets and performance for low-end Android devices → Clean source code maintained in your private repository → TestFlight + Google Play testing builds → Complete project, assets and build documentation My priority would be getting a genuinely playable vertical slice ready within the first month — not waiting until the entire game is finished. That gives you something real to put in front of schools, collect feedback, and improve. After that, we can refine the gameplay, art, accessibility and learning experience based on actual player behavior.

The early playable for school user-testing is the key part of this project, especially with content that has to teach clearly without sounding like a lecture. What matters most is balancing sensitivity, comprehension, and fun, while also keeping performance stable across iOS and Android so test feedback is about the learning experience, not technical friction. We handle cross-platform builds with maintainable structure in mind, so future updates are easier instead of requiring rework every time content changes. For this kind of app, I’d prioritize a clean modular setup, child-friendly UI flow, lightweight optimization for low-spec devices, and packaged source/assets that your team can reuse after handover. I’m comfortable continuing with post-launch improvements as feedback comes in. - Are art, audio, and written dialogue already available, or should those be created from the outline? - Do you want this built in Unity specifically, or are you open to the best-fit engine after reviewing the module document? - Will the 90% comprehension target be measured by in-app quiz results, facilitator observation, or both?

The key here is making the three learning modules feel like games without weakening the safety messages or overwhelming 8–12-year-old players. I would build the project in Unity with a shared mobile framework for navigation, dialogue, accessibility, audio, localisation and knowledge checks, while giving each module its own interaction mechanic. This keeps future content updates straightforward instead of creating three unrelated codebases. My mobile-development background includes cross-platform applications, interactive user flows and production release workflows. I would deliver the first playable build within the first month for school testing, then use the feedback cycle to refine comprehension, pacing, UI and low-spec-device performance. Source code, reusable artwork/audio/localisation assets and build documentation would be transferred with the final release. I can start immediately after award and review the module outline first.

Hi, This project’s focus on delivering educational mini-games for children with clear learning objectives aligns with my experience in designing production systems that require clear content delivery and user engagement validation. The main technical risk is ensuring consistent performance and usability across iOS and Android devices, especially given the need for early user testing with schools. While my background is primarily in backend AI systems and scalable SaaS platforms, I have led architecture efforts that emphasize modular design and iterative validation, which are crucial for educational game development. This includes designing systems that separate core logic from presentation layers to facilitate updates and content swaps. I typically design systems with clear separation between content ingestion, user interaction, and feedback collection layers to enable smooth iteration post-launch. Validating performance on low-spec devices early will be key to meeting acceptance criteria. I recommend defining the first technical milestone around build automation and test deployment to streamline early feedback cycles. Thanks, Clifton

Hi, creating a mobile game that educates kids about preventing violence against women is a unique challenge. I can deliver a first playable version in about 24 days, keeping the focus on engaging gameplay while embedding the educational content effectively. Could you clarify if there are specific age-appropriate themes or cultural contexts you want highlighted in the mini-games? Also, will the knowledge checks at the end of each module require specific metrics or formats for evaluation? My approach will prioritize clean coding and user-friendly design, ensuring the mini-games resonate with the target audience. I’ve developed mobile applications that balance fun and learning, so I understand how to integrate vital messages seamlessly. Happy to discuss the current setup and take it from there.
