A six page .pdf for this project is attached.
Star Wars Collector’s Database for Android will be a pre-filled database with over 66,000 items categorized by Category, Manufacturer, and Group. Specific item data includes: Name, Detail, Variation, Assortment, Part Number, Wave, UPC, ISBN, Number in Series, Production, Numbered (Y/N), Exclusive Distributor, Value Loose, Value Opened, Value Sealed, Data Contributor, Photo Contributor, Book Number, and Page Number.
The end user will be able to look up items either through drill down or by look-up. If they have a photo registration they will be able to bring up photos of the item from the look-up list. From the look-up list they can flag / tag master database items to their own separate database list file under one of three categories: Collection, Spares, or Wanted.
This new product will utilize database files from a companion computer product and so must be able to use existing file propritary text file formats to create it’s database on every update. Format for existing files will be provided.
No specific Android screen designs are provided. The combination of screens, tabs, and menu options are up to the programmer and must be approved throughout the workflow of production.
The main database and look-up text will reside on the device and the application will have the ability to download data updates from a server on the internet. (Internet access will not be required to use the main product.) For each update the master database must be purged and reloaded, while the end user’s database must remain intact.
A photo library with 0-26 images per item will reside on an internet server. The application must be able to determine how many, if any, photographs exist for each item and display them properly scaled if requested to be seen by the end user. (Internet access will be required for the photo library functionality.)
SEE COMPANION PRODUCT
To full understand the goal of this product, download and install the companion product and the sample Collection file. A Windows O/S computer is required. The companion project is attached to this project.
TO BE CONSIDERED
In your bid you must state that you've checked out the companion application and read the entire project .pdf and understand what I'm looking for. If you don't understand fulyl what I'm looking for, PLEASE ask me questions. Once we agree on the bid amount, I will not be held up for more. I am looking for the right programmer, and not just the lowest price (although that helps...)
WHEN THE PROJECT IS COMPLETED
The code and it's legal rights need to become my property. The final milestone wil be made once I have the source code and a copy of the three applications (see project .pdf file) "Market Ready".
