Fix bugs in Android application

HIGHLY EXPERIENCED ANDROID DEVELOPER REQUIRED (5 YEARS+ EXPERIENCE) WITH SOME EXPERIENCE IN ASP.NET The objective of this project is to investigate and fix a number of bugs at mobile end. Firstly the freelancer will set up the apk on Hockey or similar. It is the responsibility of the freelancer to set up the apk. Updated versions will be uploaded on the same platform throughout the project so that changes can be gradually tested and approved. The amended source code will be uploaded into Bitbucket after changes are tested at the front end and approved. To be clear the source code will be provided during the project and not after payment! After project award a milestone will be created for the entire project amount and this will be released at the end after all changes are signed off and the code is available in Bitbucket. Budget: $ 300 - 500 and immediate start Summary of bugs / faults to investigate and fix: 1) Slow app start on occasions. Sometimes it can take up to 2 min from launching before the app is fully functional. Scrolling on the first screen (Social tables) is jerky and slow. Navigation to other screens and reaction to commands are very slow. After this initial glitch scrolling and commands work normally on all screens. On other occasions the app works fine after 1 – 2 seconds from launching. Investigate the root-cause of the slow start and propose solutions. 2) If you try to navigate from Social tables to other screens before the app is fully functional it crashes. 3) App crashes when you launch and exit repeatedly. 4) App freezes occasionally on some screens and eventually crashes. 5) Distance from the user location to the restaurant location shows nil. Google API used 6) Share function doesn’t work for Email. App crashes. The email showing the template text is not created. 7) Profile screen - Cannot update address in Home address & Work address fields.. 8) Profile screen – photo cannot be saved. 9) Other screens (Dinner events, – photo missing from profiles shown in the See guests section 10) If the photo is not uploaded by users we show a placeholder with the text “photo coming soon”. For some of the profiles we use a different placeholder design which is old and should have been removed. 11) Profile – you navigate from the screen Dinner events to Profile. After editing the profile you would return to Dinner events. The screen title is missing. 12) The app seems to be highly dependent on internet speed and it should switch automatically to the offline version (partially implemented) if connection is lost. The app should be tested with different network performance levels and the freelancer should advise the optimum network parameters for the app to work correctly. The app should switch to the offline version if parameters fall below the optimum levels. See attached the tests results for various network conditions.
