We are developing a file sharing iOS app that uses MySQL & node JS on a private local server.
The db keeps track of "users" and account assets which are stored in separate "account" folders.
These assets are shared on demand from user devices with the app issuing upload/download commands. The devices communicate with the local server through wifi.
I am moving to the point where we want to test the app using a cloud server.
We could migrate the db to AWS, its very small but I need to find the right IT person who can advise us and do the work.
We are about to write an expansion of the app's feature which will expand the data calls and I want all future work on the app to integrate with the cloud db and eventual deployment needs.
We would consider AWS dynamoDB but I can't find anyone with experience to tell us if it's necessary or cost effective.
The app currently has no login for account holders & guest users.
Account holders admin each account keyed with user Id and password protected.
Guest users are anonymous but inherit user permissions assigned to each account by admin and determine read write permissions to each account
This requires :
1. A scalable db and file storage / retreival
2. Using swift 3 create the login screens and functions (I/o with server).
