Hi! I taught English in China for four years and currently have WeChat on my phone. I'll be back in China before school starts at the end of August. This time I'll be in Xuzhou and am very excited to go. Where is your school located? I completely understand what you're looking for and think we could devise a wonderful plan. Your students have topics in their student books provided by your school. It would be most helpful if I provided a vocabulary list related to what they are studying. Depending on the age of your students, if they are young learners from 5-12, I have two kinds of vocabulary activities that greatly improve their familiarity with the words. The first is a picture and a word, pairing the two. The second is a broken word where the word is broken into syllables based on phonics. The student must mend the words by connecting the two ends to create a word. The third tier, if you will, could be the standard listing of four options to define their word. I find the layered approach to bring me the most success and happiness of my students ... and parents. If this is too complicated, I understand. We can simply do the standard multiple choice, as well. Either way, I wish you the best success with this idea. It sounds like a winner!
