This project gravitates around the world of fitness and nutrition, allowing the users to keep
a balance between working out and dietary, to ultimately become healthier. The user will be
able to keep track of their workout plans, and will then be given the best food suggestion
and recipes. This will be based on the number of calories they have lost due to their
workout, using the appropriate algorithm. The android application will also take into
account the users BMI, which will allow the program to know the correct nutrition to
suggest. This application will give the user a different and unique way of tracking their
fitness whilst keeping a fun balanced diet, eventually maintaining a healthier lifestyle.
Overall the system should allow the user to create their login credentials, which will be secure due to a complex encryption. This will ensure that the user’s information is not prone to be hacked and stolen, thus enforcing security. The system will also allow the user to achieve their daily challenges, as a method to keep them motivated and slowly get them on track to the fitness they are willing to achieve. Each user is different so the application will take into account their BMI and amount of calories they take in due to the recipes chosen, in order to make sure they don’t have unrealistic daily challenges that are too hard. The application will also ensure that the user is able to select from the menu provided to suit their preference. The user can also be able to specify if they can only eat vegetarian, vegan foods and so on, thus making the application user friendly. They can also rate their favourite recipes on the menu, providing the app with information to record into the database and create suggestions later. The user will also be able to find where they can buy specific ingredients for example hazel nuts in the closest known store to them. The user will have the ability to edit their profile in any way they wish.
Pages should look like:
- 3 clean circular shaped buttons (Profile - Exercises - Nutrition)
- Record their food lifestyle e.g. vegan, vegetarian etc..
- Update their weight and height (BMI)
- profile picture etc..
Given the profile the user can then perform exercises.
Different type of exercises on page (with ability to track/record data e.g. record reps/sets/laps, jogging GPS routes)
- Give rough estimation of calories burned at the end
Given the workout and profile, the user should be matched with appropriate recipes to for nutrition
- List of recovery meals
- Recipes of the meals according to their profile and exercise
- Local superstores that majority of ingredients can be bought e.g. Tesco
