SCOPE FOR RANDOM WORD GENERATOR APP: The app will primarily be a gaming app that will help users with learning new words. The idea is to create a random word generator app. The app will start with a splash screen and will show user the various categories that are in the app, the categories can be chosen and based on the chosen category the random words will be generated. The user will be shown the word with a timer and with two options (YES and NO) and they can chose if they know the word or not,if the word is known to them then they select Yes and it gives them a point, the points are added to their profile and accordingly they are shown in the leaderboard. The app will help users to learn new word and see how well they compete against other users, this will be a single person game with user playing against the generated words based on timer, this is not a multiplayer game where users compete directly but yes the score will be maintained in the leader board and that is something that all users can see. I can present a proper proposal with firm quote once I get a chance to discuss things further and get answers to some of the questions I have,for eg. what if user does not knows the word, do they just select No? If we want users to learn the word then we should show its meaning as well. Also, is the app needed for Android or iOS platform or both? Hi, Following are my comments on document: 1- Some database & API effort needed to send users Notification. 2- Yes, need an API & database for users to login. And login is used to identify users to send notifications for specific one, or to generate statistics about app use and so. 3- In App Purchase & Leaderboard are popular options and no problem in making them. 4- For “Terms of service”, it depends on how you use users info. If you store & use them to improve the app, then it is a good practice to show users a simple page with text describing in general way how data is used. 5- In splash screen loading can be done easily by making extended splash screen and do whatever needed with animation too. 6- Login options are very OK, and they are excellent selections. Some questions: 1- Is the wireframes and screens in the document the scope for first release? (As I see some links to other screens that has no wireframes in document) 2- In Main Screen, are the options in table view equivalent and all opens same game (categories & words)? Or different games? 3- What is the difference between selecting category in main screen, and selecting category in play area screen. Notes: 1- I like the simplicity in design and home screen, however I have some good ideas for better usability. 2- Reply to my above questions will help define scope of work, and can add scope to more than one release too.
