Creating the software for a storage locker.
The software allows users to choose a storage box, set a PIN and store their valuables in it.
Afterwards, they can open the box by re-entering their PIN.
* Strong UX / frontend-skills

* Controlling an electronic lock (serial port instruction)
* Password/PIN-code management
The software will be operated by a touch-screen. It will:
*Let user pick an unoccupied storage box
*Let the user assign a PIN-code to his box
*Open the lock to give the user access
*Lock it again when the user closes the door
*Unlock it when user returns and enters his locker number and PIN
*Delete the PIN and prepare the lock/box for the next user

The software will run on a touchscreen-operated Android system integrated in a kiosk. The touchscreen is connected to a motherboard inside the kiosk, which is again connected to the control board for the electronic locks.
The software should be running on the machine at all times. It may be launched from desktop, but users should not be able to mess around with the OS outside the software (how this is best handled we’d appreciate some input on).
It is important that the interface has good UX and design: New users should be able to operate it without any training.
Safety is also an important aspect - no one should be able to open the locks without the correct PIN.
*Users can quickly and easily open and close their boxes without assistance
*There are no security incidents where boxes are accessed by others
*The design is appealing and modern
There is no planned updates or maintenance - but it will probably be necessary, for some reason or another. We would like to stay in touch with the developer to offer ad hoc work regarding maintenance/updates.

Project start-up is ASAP. Work should be concluded within a handful of weeks after project start (depending on scope).
