I need an Android app. I already have a design for it, I just need it to be built. My preference would be for it to be built using MS Visual Studio but I am open to discussion on this.
I am a MS Access / MS SQL developer (10 yrs) working with a number of clients.
This client is a contractor to the Avocado growing industry in NZ, running staff that pick, prune, spray etc. I have recently built a desktop application (MS Access with MS SQL backend) to manage their "Day Sheet" data. this Day Sheet collects machine use, worker hours and a few other data points. We now require a mobile application to link into the MS SQL data store so the Field staff can enter data directly, instead of via paper.
In the files you will find mock ups of the forms required. Note these are mockups only and I will defer to your design skills to quite a large degree. However they do show the data collection needed and the likely flow of the apps pages.
I've also included screen shots of the desktop application main forms, highlighting the data points we are wanting to capture - to assist with overall understanding and logic.
My client is making sounds to have all his workers able to access this and enter their own start/end times. His original plan was to have a single tablet used by the team leader and that would be handed to the staff to signoff. so you can expect that this will be a requirement and I have included 2 mock up forms to cover this.
We will also be requiring a "Truck Sheet" component which can be part of this same app. The users login will determine which section of the app they have access to. The Access form developed for this is also included for your understanding.
Offline data entry is not required. Data connection will be available.
Note I have no experience with mobile apps and will probably also require assistance with the connection and making it available to the users.
I would have a preference to use MS Stored procedures for moving data back and forth and can build those, or am happy to have you build them.
A copy of the SQL database will be supplied for build and test purposes.
I'm also new to this whole Freelancer gig so lets see how it goes.
