We got a website on DigitalOcean, and now we want to migrate it to Linode.
Currently we are hosting our site [url removed, login to view] on [url removed, login to view], a DigitalOcean Droplet. But we want to migrate it to our new Linode 126.96.36.199.
Both vps are already existed, and you just need to use the root permission and ssh, SFTP to migrate files and data from one to another. Easy on difficulty but be careful.
The old site address is on [url removed, login to view], and the new site address should be on 188.8.131.52. The website directory is /var/www/html/[url removed, login to view], but you should not only migrate this file. Because we are using Apache 2.4, you should test with a2ensite, sites-available configuration, etc. We also have full-site ssl in /etc/ssl, so please do things about them too.
After finishing migration, you should test by the new IP to see if the whole site works well. If you confirm that, I will change DNS to the new IP and release milestone.
Systems are all Debian 8 x64
Hello! I have experience with site migration, have worked with both hosting company do and linode, so will be happy to migrate your site right now!
