Newsreader for usenet
What is to program?
I need a newsreader for all important windows-versions. With a newsreader it´s possible to use the usenet. The newsreader is connected to a newsserver where user can download binary-files.
For me it´s important that you have experiences with newsreader or similar stuff and you know how the usenet works.
To make it clear: The access to newsserver excist, I want a client to download in the usenet binary files (mp3 etc.).
Here you find an example of such a newsreader with the same functionalities:
[url removed, login to view]:37:[url removed, login to view]
First your task is to build a normal newsreader. Than you have to integrate a search-engine like you find on [url removed, login to view]
With older newsreader you browse in the usenet within you download headers of newsgroup you´re interested. Than you have a list articles (files) between you can choose. This way is very slowly, because often you need to download a long list of headers before you find something interesting to download.
My example [url removed, login to view] shows a special service. These guys download all headers infos on one server. On the website you can enter a keyword, p.e. mp3 and you get a list with results. On binsearch you create a nzb-file and import this in your newsreader. This way is easier, but it needs more time, because the user has to open a website, it´s not the direct way.
In fact one script has to download all headers minimum every day and save them, so the user hasn´t to do this anymore.
You have to create such a tool and create it directly in the newsreader. The user can search p.e. for "mp3s" and get directly resulsts in the newsreader. One click on "download" download the file.
functions of the newsreader
- multilanguage: the user can choose between different languages during the installation process (You get all tranlations from me)
- unrar downloaded files and put cut files together
- search engine to find easy files
One problem of the usenet is that all newsserver work with rar-archives to save bandwith. So you find movies often in a lot of rar-files. A lot of user are not able to use the normal software to unrar them.
Your task is to integrate a tool in your newsreader that unrar all files automatically.
An example: The user download a movie which is ofcourse cut in a lot of rar-files. At the same moment when the download is finished the newsreader starts to unrar the files and put them together to one file.
- general information about usenet: [url removed, login to view]
- the protocol of usenet: [url removed, login to view]
- some open source newsreader: [url removed, login to view]
- other open source you find maybe here: [url removed, login to view]
You can test all functions with an usenet-account:
Newsserver: [url removed, login to view]
Username: test(at)[url removed, login to view]
Change (at) in the username in a normal at-symbol!
Please before you bid:
I´m not very interested in company infos from you. I would prefer if you send me a description about your experience with newsreader and how you think it can work. Thank´s very much!
