I receive about 150 to 300 (or more as business grows) emails a day. Each email is computer generated, and contains a website link to a specific record on the internet.
We need a stand alone program, that will log into pop3/smtp accounts and read the email that is in the box. The emails that I want scanned will come from the same email address all the time. Ignore anything else in the mailbox(s). The email user and password information would be stored in an access database, and the program would need to cycle through each of about 30 (or more) accounts.
Once the email is found, the link needs to be recorded into access database. The link to a website record needs to be opened, and the html code (non graphical) needs to be scanned for various specific tags.
All the information is to be stored into an access database. The program should also provide a status screen displaying a log of the processed records, and depending on the tags it has pulled, color coded the records. The programming to the access database should written with a multi-user environment in mind as there are several other programs we would like written once the database is operational.
key abilities in bidder: firm programming knowledge of pop3 mail protocals, and html code extraction as well as access database.
This program should run under windows VISTA, if thats a problem, it could run under XP.
