We would like a script to run from an SSIS package that would open an Excel spreadsheet with a PowePivot datasource, refresh that datasource, save the resulting spreadsheet under the same name and print one or all tabs in the spreadsheet to a PDF file that we specify.
We would prefer the script be written in C# and be a compiled executable which we could pass ANY excel spreadsheet with a PowerPivot datasource.
The example provided in the attachments uses the AdventureWorks database that comes with SQL 2008. Please produce a solution that demonstrates how this can be refreshed without user intervention or pop-ups requiring user input.
We would like the exe to take the following parameters:
input file - the name of the Excel file we are processing
output sheet - the name of the worksheet tab we would like to export to PDF. If not specified, we would like ALL tabs to be output to the same PDF.
ouput pdf name - the name of the ouput PDF file we would like produced as a result of printing one or all tabs.
