You or your team will build a web registrar, per ICANN requirements, cloned from GoDaddy in terms of functionality (non-domain services like hosting sites will be provided over time as the business grows, but not in the beginning, but features like domain registration privacy, and free email accounts will be included).
That scope of work includes the web site the world sees, the administrative interface for members, and the administrative interface for owners. The platform is all Microsoft.
The OS will be Windows Server 2003, the site will run on IIS, the data will be stored on SQL Server, and email will run on SurgeMail. The goal is to KISS (keep it simple stupid) so that only two staff are required to run it. That means no fancy coding, just web interfaces to the world and internally using basic web coding.
