I want a .NET v4 library with source code for some geocoding calculations.
I am using google maps api via an httpwebrequest to get a static map with certain pixel dimensions. Custom markers will be placed on the image. This is no problem as a direct http request for the normal google markers, but will only work for a max of five custom markers and I need more.
The library will be used in a Windows desktop program targeting .NET v 4 on XP, sp3 or later OS.
I think the math for the library is pretty basic for someone with GIS or mercator projection experience.
1) GetCenterLatLng -
input: array of lat,lng
output: center lat/lng for the input array
2) GetMaxZoom -
input: array of lat, lng, image size in px (ex: 640,640), marker size (ex: 40,39) to be used as a "padding" value so a marker near the edge will show.
output: Int32 max zoom to show all the markers in input array in a static map of input image size
3) GetXY -
input: image size in px, zoom, image center lat/lng, marker lat/lng
output x,y coordinates (to place my custom markers on the static image)
If you have another way to accomplish the same task, I am open to suggestions.
