A trader automation program that - uses Interactive Brokers API (by c# or VB callback functions) IMPORTANT, if you do not know what is callback function, how parallel callbacks can be managed asyncrounosly, please do not apply for the task!!! - uses database tables to configure trading rules Brief functionality: Parameters, configuration - On database level one or more contract types are defined (example: EUR-USD forex pair) with some basic parameters - On database level the trader algorithm is defined (max 10 parameter for every contrac types) - No interface is required for the parameters, it is done on database level Initialization - On startup the config values are read - On startup the actual portfolio is requested from Interactive Brokers API Timer events - As a frequent event for all the contracts the program asks and updates the following information based on the settings in the config table - Only historycal average rate information is used for different time periods - Based on the parameter values and the requested historycal values the program decides if a) the position is kept b) the position is closed c) new position is opened to make this decision only the information that is described before is used Emergency brake independetly from the basic timer trader function an emergency chack function has to be developed. The parameters for this function also managed in data table, no interface for the management is required. The emergency function check the status of the trades from least start and decide if - the automation must be suspended - the positions must be closed User interface minimal user interface, where - the system status can be checked (connected to IB API, last ticker time) - the managed contracts are displayed - the contrcts and basic info for the contracts are listed and also recorded to database tables - no other information is required in the interface

Hello, Thanks for share this requirement. As per the current requirement, It seems client is working in trade market and wants to build one automation system which will read data from Interactive Brokers API and update data in their existing database. Different contract types and their algorithm will come from database. No entry module is required for contract types and its configuration values. Apart from this client wants to build functionality which frequently reads current rate detail from Interactive Brokers API and check the status of trades and based on the status of the trades, some decisions need to taken by system I.e automation must be suspended or positions must be closed. As GUI point of view client wants to have one screen where he can check the current status of the system (I.e connected to IB API, last ticker time), list of contracts and their various details including basic information. Please find approach below: For Automation service: We are going to create one windows service for this requirement which will run at certain time interval and read data from API and check and update data based on the configuration in the database. As a part of GUI below screen/page will be created into system. Hi there, I read your project and it is interesting, In fact, I have built many trading robots for Forex and Stocks for many brokers and platforms including Interactive Brokers. I am an IT engineer and I work exclusively with Trading and Financial projects. In your specific case, it is relatively easy to build the Trading Robot you mention with the Interactive Broker's API. And yes, working with callbacks, threads and asynchronous calls is a must in this type of projects, in order to keep all your tasks working in parallel and your user interface responsive. The list of requirements you posted are quite clear, there you request for the application to only retrieve all the Parameters and Configuration from database and trade accordingly. Include some emergency brakes which is also dependent from the parameters in database. And the user interface. If you want I can build this application to remain as an icon in your Try-Bar (aside the Windows clock), so it does not consume much of the working space in your machine. From there you can see only with the icon, what is the current status of your trading activities. Optionally, you can open its main interface to monitor status details, managed contracts and basic info. In case an emergency happens, it will pop-up a notification form to inform you the change of the status and the actions taken.
