Allow N429 switch to be remotely configured by an upstream switch (example: cisco 3650/3750/3560/2960 and iE4010 /CGS-2520)
The upstream switch will be configuring VLANs on the N429.
The N429 is based on the Marvell LinkStreet network switch chip.
Currently the N429 is using the default program for the LinkStreet’s internal management processor (IMP)
This default program does not allow external management frames to be accepted.
Work to be done:
Change register configuration of LinkStreet Chip to enable management packets on a specific external network port (#8)
Provide Test tools to send management packets from an external host
External test tools should be able to assign ports to specific VLANs.
Show interoperability with an upstream network switch
Enable full TSN capabilities and create a TSN demo
Still in evaluation. Trying to find existing software capabilities for the Centralized Network Controller (CNC)
We’d like to show a working TSN system with centralized visibility.
