I am rolling out a brand-new Local Area Network to interconnect our office computers, printers, and a small server stack. The space is currently wired only for power, so the project covers everything from hardware selection to final testing. Scope • Assess the floorplan, user load, and bandwidth needs. • Recommend cost-effective switches, router/firewall, Cat6 cabling, patch panels, and any racks or UPS units. Industry-standard gear such as Cisco, HPE, MikroTik, or Ubiquiti is welcome as long as the choice is justified. • Physically install and label all cabling; terminate at wall plates and the central rack. • Configure VLANs, DHCP, basic QoS, and security policies. • Connect and test every workstation, network printer, and both file and application servers. • Provide a concise network diagram and hand-over document detailing IP schema, admin credentials, and maintenance tips. Acceptance criteria 1. All devices obtain the correct IP addresses and reach the internet. 2. File transfers between computers and servers sustain at least 900 Mbps on internal links. 3. Printers appear on the network and complete a test job from two separate PCs. 4. Documentation is delivered in editable PDF or Visio format and matches the live setup. Most work can be done after business hours or over a weekend to avoid disruption. Please confirm the estimated duration, preferred hardware brand, and any questions about access requirements so we can lock in install dates.

Hi! Your point about getting 900 Mbps on internal file transfers is the detail that matters most here. Cable choice and rack layout both make a huge difference to hit that speed for real, not just on paper. I’ve set up similar office networks with MikroTik and Ubiquiti, including VLANs, firewall rules, and clear documentation. The last one matched your scope: full cabling from zero, weekend cutover, server and printer integration, and a clean rack. I'd suggest starting with a quick floorplan review, then shortlist the right gigabit gear based on power and cable run limits. MikroTik is great for cost, Ubiquiti if you want easier monitoring. One thing — do you have any old network kit from a previous office, or is everything truly new? That affects hardware picks and rack layout. Happy to send a short 1-page table with brand and model suggestions before you commit. You can also see more of my past network projects at work.techindika.com. — Pradeep

Hi, I can design, install, and configure your complete office LAN from hardware selection to final testing. With extensive experience in Cisco, Ubiquiti, and MikroTik deployments, I will deliver a high-performing, secure network that meets all your scope requirements. My Approach to Your Project:Hardware & Planning: Assess your floorplan and user load to recommend cost-effective switches, firewalls, Cat6 cabling, and rack equipment. Physical Installation: Neat routing, precise termination at patch panels/wall plates, and clear labeling for all runs. Configuration: Set up robust VLANs for traffic isolation, DHCP, tailored QoS for critical systems, and strict firewall policies. Testing & Handoff: Rigorously test internal links to ensure >900 Mbps performance, verify printer reachability from separate PCs, and deliver clear Visio/PDF documentation (IP schema, credentials, maintenance tips). Answers to Your Questions: Duration: Estimated 3 to 5 days (primarily executed after hours/weekends to avoid disruption). Hardware Brand: I highly recommend Ubiquiti UniFi for cost-effectiveness and easy remote management, or Cisco/HPE if you require enterprise-grade redundancy. Access Requirements: Remote WAN/ISP access and a local point-of-contact on-site for physical cable plugging. I am ready to lock in dates and deliver a clean, turnkey network setup. Hello! I have experience with computer networks, infrastructure setup, and system administration, and I am confident I can assist with the implementation of your new LAN environment from planning to final delivery. I can help with network design, hardware recommendations, Cat6 structured cabling organization, VLAN and DHCP configuration, basic firewall/security policies, and testing of workstations, printers, and servers. I also understand the importance of proper documentation and organized labeling for future maintenance and scalability. For hardware, I am comfortable working with MikroTik, Ubiquiti, Cisco, and HPE equipment depending on the project budget and performance requirements. Personally, I believe MikroTik and Ubiquiti offer an excellent balance between performance, reliability, and cost-effectiveness for small and medium office environments. I am available to work during weekends or outside business hours to minimize operational interruptions. I would be glad to discuss the office size, estimated number of devices, internet link specifications, and rack/access requirements to provide a more accurate implementation timeline. Looking forward to working with you on this project.

Hi, I am highly interested in executing your office network deployment. Based on your scope and the 900 Mbps benchmark, here is my direct proposal: Hardware Choice: I recommend Ubiquiti UniFi (UDM Pro Router + UniFi Managed Switches) combined with solid copper Cat6 cabling, patch panels, and a 1500VA APC UPS. It offers enterprise performance, a unified dashboard for easy maintenance, and zero ongoing licensing fees. Duration: 5-6 days total. The physical install (cabling, rack mounting) and configuration (VLANs, QoS, DHCP) will be done over one weekend to ensure zero business disruption. Questions to lock dates: What is the estimated number of network drops/nodes needed? Are the servers tower format or rack-mounted? Will weekend access to the building be granted? I am ready to deliver the setup, complete the test jobs, and hand over the editable network diagram. Let’s connect to schedule. Best regards, Engineer Fernando Mendoza
