Job Title Full-Stack Developer — E-Commerce & Booking Platform ([login to view URL] / Supabase / Vercel) Short Description We are looking for an experienced full-stack developer to make targeted improvements to an existing e-commerce and appointment-booking platform. The website is already designed and built. We are not looking for a full rebuild. We need someone who can understand our existing codebase, improve the booking logic, and implement several scheduling and provider-management features. Current stack: [login to view URL] / React Supabase / PostgreSQL Vercel E-commerce + appointment booking Main Project Requirements The biggest priority is improving our booking and scheduling system. Provider structure: We need service providers separated into two categories: Founders / Leading Techs and Employees under supervision. Our existing rotation system should apply to founders/leading technicians, but we need the ability to turn that rotation on or off depending on staffing. When rotation is disabled, individual providers should simply operate from their own stations/calendars rather than being forced through a Prep → Application → Finishing workflow. Employee scheduling: Employees need individual working-day availability. For example, the business may designate certain dates as employee working days, but an individual employee may only work Saturdays within those dates. Admins must be able to easily block or activate each employee’s dates. Employees performing independent services should not require the multi-provider rotation system. Dynamic appointment availability: We do not want the system displaying an entire 10 AM–8 PM day as available when a provider has no appointments. Instead, availability should expand dynamically as appointments are booked. Example: Provider starts at 10 AM → show the first appropriate booking window. Once appointments begin filling, additional nearby availability can open. If there is already an appointment at 10 AM and another at 2 PM, the system should prioritize filling the gap between those appointments before displaying much later times such as 4 PM or 6 PM. The goal is to cluster appointments and eliminate unnecessary gaps in employee schedules. Booking-gap rules: New appointments should generally remain within approximately 3–4 hours of the provider’s existing appointment block, rather than allowing one appointment in the morning and another at the end of the day. Rotation logic: Our reconstruction services use a multi-stage workflow when the full team is active. The system needs to support enabling/disabling this workflow without breaking normal individual bookings. We also need the existing scheduling logic reviewed so that the system correctly handles provider availability, service duration, station capacity, overlapping appointments, and combinations of services. Who We’re Looking For We specifically want someone who has previously worked with complex appointment-booking or scheduling systems, not only basic websites. Ideal experience includes: [login to view URL] / React, Supabase, PostgreSQL/database logic, Vercel, API/backend development, calendar and availability algorithms, role-based/provider permissions, e-commerce systems, and debugging existing production applications. Experience building systems for salons, healthcare, spas, service businesses, marketplaces, reservations, or other multi-provider scheduling platforms would be a major plus. Important This is an existing production website. We need someone comfortable entering an existing codebase, understanding the current architecture, and making precise changes without unnecessarily rebuilding the platform. Our immediate scheduling changes need to be completed on a short timeline, so please only apply if you currently have availability.

I love this type of projects like yours where the client explains the job description with concrete examples, as 90% of ambiguity and confusion usually stems from a lack of clarity in these areas. From what I gather, your web app is essentially ready, and only about 10% of the work remains, specifically modifications, testing, security checks, final polishing, and completing the e-commerce and booking features you described. Given the project scope, we could finalize everything, including a thorough audit and review, and launch it within seven to ten days. I would like to make a small request: if you could share the link to your website repository or staging server, I can deploy it on my end and provide an initial audit right away.

Hi, I can work directly within your existing codebase without unnecessary rebuilding. I have experience with complex booking workflows, provider scheduling, availability logic, database-driven systems, and production application debugging. I’ll refine the provider structure so Founders/Leading Techs can use configurable rotation while employees can operate independently from their own schedules and stations. I’ll implement flexible employee working-day controls, provider availability, service duration, station capacity, overlapping appointments, and multi-service combinations. The availability algorithm can dynamically prioritize suitable booking windows and cluster appointments within the requested 3–4 hour range to reduce unnecessary schedule gaps. I’ll carefully review the existing scheduling architecture before making targeted changes, ensuring the new rotation controls do not disrupt normal individual bookings or e-commerce functionality. I’m available to work on the existing production codebase and can provide a focused milestone plan and timeline after reviewing the current implementation. Best, Rahul

Your dynamic slot expansion requirement is the most technically interesting part of this project, and the one most likely to break under real booking load. I have read your full brief. The three deliverables are clear: Founder vs. Employee tier separation with a rotation toggle, individual working-day availability per employee with an admin block/activate UI, and rewriting the availability query so it anchors on the first open window rather than broadcasting a fake 10 AM to 8 PM block. On the dynamic availability side, I would recommend storing a lightweight appointments_index materialized view in Supabase that refreshes on each booking insert, rather than recalculating open windows from raw appointment rows on every page load. This keeps your slot expansion logic fast even when a provider has a full day of back-to-back appointments, which is exactly the scenario where a runtime query starts slowing your booking page down. One problem you have not mentioned: if rotation is toggled off mid-day while appointments are already in flight under the Prep to Application to Finishing workflow, existing bookings could lose their linked provider chain. I would build a guard into the toggle to flag any active rotations before disabling. All three modules delivered in five days at USD 250, tested against your live schema. Does your current availability query calculate open slots at runtime from existing appointment rows, or does it pull from a pre-generated time-slot table?

Hi, I'm Denis, a full-stack developer specializing in appointment-booking and multi-provider scheduling systems. I understand the complexity of managing rotating workflows, provider availability, and dynamic slot allocation. I've reviewed your requirements and see the core challenge: handling two distinct booking modes without breaking existing logic. Your rotation workflow should toggle cleanly, while independent employee bookings should skip that stage entirely. Dynamic availability—clustering appointments and eliminating gaps—requires careful slot calculation logic. I've built similar systems tracking multiple providers across service stages, managing individual availability calendars, and intelligently surfacing appointment slots based on existing bookings. My approach: 1. Review your codebase and database schema to understand current appointment, provider, and availability structure 2. Map scheduling logic changes needed for dynamic slot display 3. Implement the rotation toggle mechanism and employee availability controls 4. Test edge cases: overlapping appointments, service duration conflicts, and rotation state transitions The main risk is hidden dependencies in scheduling logic. I'll work systematically through existing flows and add clear logging to catch issues early. I can start right away. Let's discuss the details. Thanks, Denis.

It is exhausting trying to manage complex provider rotations and dynamic employee schedules when your platform keeps showing wide-open days or forces everyone into the same workflow. Those gaps between appointments and inflexible booking logic cost time, money, and frustrate staff. You can expect a booking system that clusters appointments naturally, adjusts availability in real time, and gives admins precise control over who works when. No more scattered schedules or unnecessary idle hours. First, I’ll review your current codebase to map out the scheduling and provider logic. Next, I’ll update the booking flow so appointment availability expands only as needed and providers can be managed individually or in rotating groups. Finally, I’ll refine the admin tools to quickly activate or block employee dates without breaking the rotation or service combinations. Does your team have a preferred way you visualize provider calendars, or is that something you’d like improved as well?

Hello, The hard, interesting part is the dynamic gap-clustering, and it changes how availability has to be built. What you describe is not a free/busy lookup that shows every open slot. It is a slot-scoring problem: generate the candidate slots that satisfy the hard rules, provider available, service duration fits, station capacity, no overlap, then rank them to fill gaps first. A slot inside the 10 to 2 gap scores higher than an isolated 6 PM, and the 3 to 4 hour rule becomes a constraint on that ranking. That is what actually clusters the day. On a live system the real risk is that clever availability still lets two people book the same gap. So the commit must be atomic in the database, not just checked in the app. Supabase is Postgres, so I enforce no-overlap with an exclusion constraint on provider and station over the time range, plus station capacity, so double-booking is impossible even under a race. The display clusters, the database guarantees. Rotation on or off I model as a booking mode over one shared slot engine: a multi-stage Prep, Application, Finishing job is a set of linked slots across stations, an individual booking is one slot, and the toggle just routes between them, so switching never breaks the other. I map the current logic first and work on Vercel previews, no rebuild, and I am available now. One question: should clustering limit the slots a customer can self-book, or only guide admins while customers see all valid slots?

The rotation toggle is what will break if you get it wrong. If founders share a workflow and employees use individual stations, you need separate booking paths that don't collide in the database. I'd add a provider type flag in Supabase, fork the scheduling logic at the API layer based on that flag, and keep rotation as a feature toggle in the admin panel that only affects founder availability queries. Employee availability would be a simple date range table with individual overrides. I built a similar dual-mode booking system for an invoicing platform (17 edge functions, 81 table schema, all Supabase). The stack here is identical to what I work in daily. You can see that and other full-stack work at ffulb.com. If you can share repo access and Supabase credentials I can assess how the current rotation logic is wired and confirm the cleanest way to split it without touching what already works.

Hi, The current system’s need to dynamically cluster appointments and toggle rotation workflows indicates a nuanced scheduling challenge that requires precise state management and calendar logic. The main technical risk is ensuring data consistency and availability correctness when toggling between rotation-enabled and independent provider modes. I’ve built scalable backend services with complex scheduling and automation pipelines, notably in the DocIntel AI platform where I designed PostgreSQL schemas and API layers to handle event-driven workflows and dynamic data ingestion. I’d separate the booking logic into distinct modules managing provider availability, rotation state, and appointment clustering to isolate complexity and enable targeted testing. This approach helps maintain data integrity and allows incremental rollout of new scheduling features. Reliability would be enhanced by implementing validation checks on appointment overlaps and state transitions, along with monitoring to catch scheduling anomalies early, reducing operational disruptions. I can start by reviewing your current scheduling logic and mapping out the key integration points for rotation and availability adjustments. Thanks, Clifton

Hi, I see the current booking system has a rigid rotation structure that doesn't account for varying provider availability, which is where things get complicated. I'd approach this by first reviewing the existing codebase to understand how the rotation system is currently implemented, and then I'll set up a more flexible system that can handle different provider categories and scheduling rules. My goal is to make the booking logic more dynamic and efficient. I've found that a common mistake in scheduling systems is not properly handling edge cases like overlapping appointments or varying service durations, which can lead to errors and inconsistencies. I'll make sure to thoroughly review the existing scheduling logic and implement changes that correctly handle these scenarios, so the client can expect a more reliable and efficient booking system as a result. I'll also prioritize clustering appointments to minimize gaps in employee schedules, which will help improve the overall productivity of the system.

Hi there! The real challenge here isn't the individual features—it's that your availability logic needs to work backwards from provider capacity rather than forwards from business hours. Most booking systems just carve up the day into slots. What you're describing is smarter: appointments should pull availability into existence as they cluster, not push it outward. That means the core query logic needs to understand both existing bookings and the gaps between them, then intelligently surface only the windows that actually make scheduling sense for your team. Getting that calculation right—especially while toggling rotation logic on and off—will determine whether this feels natural or frustrating for your admins and customers. I've built similar logic for multi-provider services before. Happy to walk through how I'd structure the availability algorithm if you want to talk it through. Corné
