AWS Serverless to Linux Migration

I need to move my full production workload out of AWS and run everything on a single Linux box. Right now the stack is built with CloudFormation, fronted by API Gateway, and all business logic runs in Lambda functions. The target environment will be an up-to-date Linux server where: • every public endpoint that is now exposed through API Gateway is served by Nginx, and • every Lambda is turned into an executable script or small service that can be started, stopped, and logged like any other process on the machine. I already know I want Nginx, so the work includes translating existing API Gateway routes, methods, CORS rules, and custom domains into a clean Nginx configuration with SSL termination exactly as it works today. Any existing HTTPS certificates must be preserved or re-issued without breaking current clients. For the Lambdas, you will extract the code in NodeJS add any required wrappers, and set up systemd units or a lightweight process manager so each function can run locally and still be invoked through the new Nginx routes. Environment variables, IAM-style secrets, and time-based triggers that were handled by CloudWatch events must be reproduced with cron or an equivalent scheduler. Expected deliverables: 1. A migration plan that maps every API Gateway route and Lambda to its new location. 2. Working Nginx configuration files, scripts/services for every Lambda, and any helper scripts needed for deployment. 3. Step-by-step documentation so I can rebuild the server from scratch and understand where everything lives. 4. A short verification session where we switch traffic, run regression tests, and confirm zero-downtime cut-over. You will have SSH access to a staging server for initial work, and when everything passes our tests we will replicate the setup on the final production machine. Please keep changes modular, version-controlled, and easy for me to audit.
