On a node, express, mongodb setup, there's a db that is a mirror of the emails on a gmail account using the gmail api. We need to add support for other accounts using IMAP. You need to:- Get, Move, Delete, Expunge mails etc based on commands from the app; Keep the mongodb updated/synced with the imap source with least resource overheads. If you are pro at IMAP but not comfortable with the MEAN/MERN stack, we can consider a separate microservice in your preferred language.

I'd love to take this up. I've been working as a full-stack SDE at some big brand name companies in tech space, this project's stack would fall into my domain knowledge. I'd prefer integrating IMAP with a known and stable node module and write wrappers around syncing. From the description, I couldn't discern if this would require any front-end work, would add in some more time if that's a yes.
