Simple Chat Application using PhoneGap and NodeJS

The purpose of this application is to demonstrate how chat application work in a very pure form, by just using just JavaScript/HTML coding for both front and backend. Programming languages: JavaScript/HTML/CSS/NodeJS Database: SQL Server Express Client framework: PhoneGap Chat Application data Model: The below tables just a guidelines and can modified as per application functionality Person Table: • ID • Name (256 char max) Subject table: • ID • Details (256 char max) • Person_ID (the ID of the person created and own the subject) Question table: • ID • Subject_ID (The ID of the addressed Subject) • Person_ID (ID of the person who ask the question) Question_thread table: • ID • Question_ID (The ID assigned to the question) • Person_ID (ID of the person who ask or reply to the question) • Details (256 chars max) Application Functionality: 1. Each User/device install the application will have unique person ID and he can choose his name 2. Each user/device can create as much as he can of Subjects 3. Other users can ask question or comment on any subject as many they can 4. The Subject creator/owner can reply to the question/comment as much as he can 5. Other users should not see comments/questions doesn’t belong to them 6. The welcome page should 2 taps/page, where one page will list all subjects with owner name, and the other one show only subjects created by the user or asked question about them 7. The user should receive notification about any reply to his subject or question like” whatsapp notification” 8.
