We sell products on ebay UK and our own Zen Cart based website. We currently have a php script run on a cron so that when an an item on the Zen cart database is out of stock, it will cancel the relevant ebay items. This is based on a text file that contains both the Zen Cart ID numbers and the Ebay Titles like this:
123 RED CHAIR
234 BLUE CHAIR
We want to expand on this script to automate our ebay listings. In the text file that holds the IDs, we will add another number at the start like so:
123 3 RED CHAIR
234 4 BLUE CHAIR
This number will refer to how many of these listings should be active at any one time, but the items should only be relisted at 10pm, at a rate of one of that particular item per day. For instance we have 3 of RED CHAIR listed on ebay. One of them sells in the daytime today and one of the auctions ends naturally without a sale. The script will cause one RED CHAIR to be listed at 10pm today and one tomorrow so that there are still 3 RED CHAIR active.
In addition to this, if an item is out of stock on the Zen Cart database, the script should still cancel all the active listings for that item and not allow any further ebay relisting until it comes back into stock on Zen Cart. The items should be relisted under ebay's relisting guidelines to be eligible for credits: [url removed, login to view]
I am also interested in altering the script to perform real time stock updates (ie an item sold on ebay is immediately reflected on the zen cart database). If you are also able to do this, please add it into your quote.
As a potential future project, you should also be able to advise how easy it will be to intergrate the script into ebay's international sites (.com/.[url removed, login to view]).
This project is quite complex so please be sure you're able to do it all before bidding, I'm not interested in only having half the job done.
