PayPal Transaction Details Enhancement Project Overview We are looking for an experienced PayPal developer (not project manager or architect) to improve the information displayed to customers in their PayPal transaction history. Our company has a single PayPal Business (Merchant) account and must continue using only one PayPal account. We operate multiple websites, each offering different products and services. Currently, customers only see our company name in PayPal transactions, which causes confusion and results in customer enquiries and PayPal disputes because they cannot easily identify which website the payment relates to or what was purchased. Requirements The solution must allow customers, when viewing their PayPal transaction history (e.g. yesterday, last week, last month), to see more meaningful information, including: • Product description (e.g. "Digital Credit Points" or "3 items purchased") • Website or brand name (e.g. ABC, XYZ) • Company name Examples Website ABC • Digital Credit Points • Website: ABC • Merchant: The Company Name Website XYZ • N Products + Delivery Fee • Website: XYZ • Merchant: The Company Name Deliverables The contractor is expected to: 1. Investigate PayPal capabilities and limitations for displaying custom transaction information. 2. Configure and/or develop the required PayPal integration. 3. Ensure that transaction descriptions presented to customers are as informative as possible and clearly identify the purchased products and originating website. 4. Advise if any requirements cannot be achieved due to PayPal platform limitations and propose alternative approaches. The primary goal of this project is to reduce customer confusion, support enquiries, and PayPal disputes.
