PCB Design Review & Manufacturing Optimization Engineer (KiCad) Project Overview We are seeking an experienced PCB design engineer with strong KiCad experience to review and optimize an existing multi-layer PCB design for manufacturability and production readiness. The project has already undergone schematic capture and PCB layout. We now require an independent engineering review and refinement before prototype manufacturing. Detailed project information will be shared only after candidate evaluation and execution of a mutual NDA. Scope of Work The selected engineer will assist with: PCB Design Review Review an existing multi-layer PCB design. Evaluate component placement and board organization. Review routing quality and design practices. Assess power distribution and grounding strategy. Design for Manufacturing (DFM) Review manufacturer feedback and identify required corrections. Verify trace widths, spacing, clearances, vias, and fabrication constraints. Recommend improvements for production yield and reliability. Layout Optimization Review component-to-component spacing. Review edge clearances and connector placement. Verify mechanical and assembly considerations. Review thermal management and high-current routing. Validation Run and review DRC/ERC checks. Identify potential manufacturing risks. Provide recommendations for production release. Manufacturing Preparation Verify fabrication files. Review Gerbers and assembly outputs. Confirm readiness for prototype manufacturing.
