WordPress Speed & UI Revamp

My current WordPress does not look great. The design gets in the way of the messaging. We'd like better design that makes the content easy to read. The site is already hosted on WordPress, and I want to keep that setup while making everything leaner and more visually appealing. Speed & performance I’d like the rebuilt site to load in roughly two seconds or less and hit high Google PageSpeed scores on both mobile and desktop. The performance isn't terrible now, but it could be better. I'd like the site to be faster than it is now. Visual redesign Every page needs to be fully responsive and WCAG-friendly. I’d like review a few mock-ups first and then move straight into building the final templates. Content & features The blog section stays at the heart of the site, so all existing posts, categories, tags, and permalinks must migrate intact. A refreshed blog index and improved article layout would be a bonus, as long as SEO fundamentals remain untouched. I need to be able to continue to create blog posts easily on my own. How we’ll work I’d like to collaborate directly with the developer actually writing the code, with no project-management team. I don't want to work with a big company. I prefer to work with a real freelancer who works by themself. Quick check-ins by chat or video, shared staging links, and clear progress updates will keep things moving smoothly. When this phase is finished, I’m interested in continuing our partnership for future enhancements and routine maintenance. Deliverables • Fully redesigned, performance-tuned WordPress site deployed on my current host • Core Web Vitals and PageSpeed reports verifying the performance target • Short handover document covering theme structure, key plugins, and update steps Please include a couple of recent WordPress rebuilds that highlight both speed gains and modern design, along with an estimated timeline for the first live version.
