I am looking for partners to help me create a small web-site of an online computer store for students. It will involve graphic design and web design, and simple programming like automatic notification email and a feedback form, as well as choosing and integrating a shopping cart script (there are a number of them available online for free, so the main challenge will be choosing the best one).
No experience necessary, the main requirement is enthusiasm and being organized. I'm starting this as a small venture for now, but I have plans to expand the website significantly in the near future, including offering website design services to other clients, so there is potential for future cooperation as well.
Graphic design will involve drawings of cartoon-like characters, as well as designing a logo for the company. Renumeration for the project is negotiable.
This project is ideal for students, interns and recent graduates who are looking to start or expand their portfolio and obtain some real work experience. The website is being created primarily for the students, so understanding the tastes and psychology of the target audience is a bonus. I am planning to work with a team of three people (graphic designer, web designer and internet programmer). However individuals who are proficient in more than one area are welcome to apply, and their renumeration will be increased accordingly.
The budget is on the lower side of $100-300. More correct range would be 100-130.
The key requirement here is a very appealing and stylish graphic design. I will give you examples of what I had in mind when we start working. Keep in mind that this is a website for local audience (in the city of Victoria), so no search engine optimizations is required. I am not trying to reach customers outside the local city.
I decided to remove the "Bundle Up!" page from the project. "Bundle Up!" was the most programming-heavy page out of the whole website, so without it the project should be much easier to complete.
