I have a spreadsheet (.XLS) on a web site that places data in certain cells in other cells (macro). I have data (ascii) in a flat file (text file) that I want to insert into a certain cell in the spreadsheet and the macro will populate the spreadsheet in all the cells it needs to be in.
I can select the data from the files, you don't have to do any of that in the script, I just need the spreadsheet loaded and the commands for inserting the data field into a cell. There will be 16 fields of data that will be involved. Each field of data will be inserted into a specific spreadsheet cell and the macro automatically puts the data into the locations. The spreadsheet works fine if you manually insert the data into the starting cells on your local computer. I need to do this automatically on a linux web server. The server is hosted on Godaddy.com.
I have done this on a Windows server but never on a Linux server and it has to happen this time on the Linux server.
