Image enhancement for logo

I have an image of a dragon - my photoshop skills are very basic and I'd like help to sharpen up the image and and potentially add a bit more detailing. Edges are poor, eye is not great and no detailing. PSD work-in-progress image supplied, with a more detailed image in colour for reference/ideas. Final image to be in gold on a green background - 2 colours.
