Description: We're looking to create a retail deals website, which members of our forum community will be able to share the best retail deals in the UK, EU online and on the high street.
On top of the deals being listed by the members, the site will also include discounts/coupon codes, freebies, competitions and chat sections which will be similar to [url removed, login to view] with our own improvements and site design.
The site will be a modified Vbulletin board which the deals will be submitted by the members who can then post the offer via the Submit button and will fall into the appropriate category of listing e.g electronics, entertainment etc.
A form needs to be designed for this which will be included in the database and used with the layout of any threads mentioned before in deals, codes, freebies, competitions, chat etc.
When a member submits a deal that includes a link, that URL needs to be automatically re-written so it will use our own referral codes (some help will be required in the most effective way to achieve this for the best results e.g we don't want the site to be ripped off by another and ours rewritten.) We're assuming all trader referral links would need to be inserted into a database, so this must be accessible with admin to add further traders when a new merchant appears and up-datable by us.
When members enter a deal, they should be given the option to select the retailer - or add a new one - and alert us that a new trader has been added .
Also, when entering a deal, members should be presented with a form that will also allow them to enter a link to an image (optional), that will be displayed in the opening post, as well as a start / expiry date if that is applicable.
Entries will be given various options to select the relevant forum. "Private" forums should not be listed apart from to those who will be given direct access i.e mods and admin. It may be easier to have access via a menu tab? (We do not want to have a normal index page that lists the various forums - but to go there from the menu link.
There will be a voting system to dictate how good or bad a deal actually is (graphics for the temp bar is already supplied), which is then given a rolling score (similar to HUKD). Members should be given a voting score power which is based around the users reputation on the forums.
We would like to have the option to use "hot deals" via RSS and shown on the front page - which is advanceVbulliten. But are open to suggestions for a more effective method.
We would also like to have a professional but welcoming homepage and we already have an example of work carried out previously which includes the logo, navigation menu and we need further adjustments in implementing the most popular deals and threads etc, banner ad space, intro box, important links throughout the site and an effective search for the site (this is an added bonus, so if you can't perform this, we can hire someone else for this section)
Please enquire for more information and feel free to checkout HUKD features to see what we‘ll require.
