296067 PHP content management system

Hello, I have a custom-made content management system which was written in Adobe GoLive combined with PHP. It looks and functions pretty well, but making changes to it are a pain because of the Adobe GoLive component (most people don't know what it is and it seems to take a long time to figure it out and make changes). So I think it's time to start again and rewrite it in plain PHP. I have set up a live working demo of the current system so you know exactly what is involved: [login to view URL] Adding, editing etc of any data has been disabled. Because of this, things may not show up 100% correctly, but it gives you much more of an idea than simply me describing it. Particularly, the buttons at the bottom of the screen are probably not correct - they should say 'update' if you are updating a record or 'add' if you're adding a new record, but in this version it probably mostly only says 'add' or nothing at all. The majority of the CMS is simple form / text fields for adding new information into the database, or updating existing records. There is also an image upload feature, to add small thumbnails for individual downloads as well as promotional images for the site. The images uploaded through the CMS need to be stored on an external image server. Currently the process gives each image a unique name, and stores the image in the relevant folder (e.g. screenshot thumbnails go in one folder while promotional images go in another folder). The current menu system can stay. WHAT NEEDS TO BE DONE: - recreate the existing CMS in plain PHP. It will run in a test environment on my server using a backup copy of the database - add some additional features, such as WYSIYWG editing on all major text fields (we've been testing SPAW which is currently live here in th e news section e.g. [login to view URL](news)=1864 ). I don't know if this is the best editor to use and a spell checker would be nice, but it works OK. - add some additional features: - the ability to relate a news story to more than one game. - the ability to add screenshots quicker by adding database records in a batch (e.g. [login to view URL] - [login to view URL] without having to add records manually for [login to view URL], [login to view URL] etc) - this CMS currently only handles PC content. We are merging our console and cheat databases together. This will mean some minor changes to the CMS as you now see it. For example, we will need the ability to relate news stories to different platforms so they appear on different sites (e.g. pc, xbox etc) - basically cleaning it all up a bit and streamlining it WHAT I AM LOOKING FOR IN YOUR BID: - Evidence that you are an experienced PHP expert with an excellent knowledge of MySQL - Preferably live samples of some of your work - A good knowledge of Unix is also required in order to get the image uploading working across separate servers - Preferably experience in writing content management systems - A price for the project including a rough estimate of how many hours you anticipate it taking (e.g. $1,000 - estimated time - 40 hours). Also in case some additional features need to be added which have not been mentioned in this brief, you might also like to quote an hourly rate for additional work. - Please give an idea of when you would be able to start the project. It's not super urgent, but it needs to be done soonish. Ideally would like to start in the next couple of weeks. - Simplistic bids like "I can do this for you" without addressing the above will not be considered.
