I have a PHP script that uses CURL & using a class file looks up a list of domain's:
1.) Google PageRank
4.) Alexa Rating
I just hired someone to modify the script a little & add #'s 2-4 above. Now the script is running super slow & is not behaving at all like it was in the past.
The script hides behind proxies to do the lookups. The script also checks each proxy first to make sure it is working or it is removed from the database of usable working proxies.
List of issues:
1.) The script refuses to work on any linux / unix machines. It works fine on a win32 machine with XAMPP but it will not work on apache & a unix os. This leads me to believe the script doesn't work - or isn't tunneling through the proxies. All proxies are considered down & removed on unix / linux.
2.) Originally I was able to enter thousands of domains in the list & hit "Start". I would immediately see the top domains appearing with PageRank results. Now that #2-4 were added, everything just freezes & I have to wait for all the domains to be checked before I can see any results. Even the top domains don't appear & when checking thousands of domains, the script will timeout.
I am open to hire you & make a new script or if you'd like to work on the existing one, that is fine too.
I also have a new delimiter / string I'd like to check for to determine if the proxies are good or if they have been banned by Google.
