I have a website that is done in html/asp/access
The site is old, so I need a new design, with a web 2.0 look and feel, but also need a bit of corporate feeling.
I want a web 2.0 feeling in order to look modern, and because I believe that is more user friendly. But this is a traditional company, with traditional values, so a corporate feeling is also necessary.
The design should be quite simple, with a header, footer and right menu includes. Nothing elaborated.
The site is old, still in plain ASP and ACCESS however, I would like to do a few minor updates to code before moving to a new platform in PHP/MY SQL/ajax.
So, when you bid, send me first a message saying if you are bidding only for the design and implementation of the design, or also for the code changes in ASP and ACCESS, and in this case let me know how much you charge per hour.
MOVING TO PHP/AJAX/MYSQL
The site structure is actually not complex, so I might consider moving now to a new php/ajax/mysql, but just in case you give me a good price.
Basically the site is for placing ads. The ads need to have some specific fields.
Need a good search.
Need to feature ads, list them by categories.
Need to list news, directory of resources, and list profiles of investors.
Then also need to list brokers that will be assigned for every company ad listed, according to the region the company is for, and according to the region hte broker operates.
I guess there are a lot of open source scripts out there ready for most of this also, otherwise, its basic code.
When you bid, dont send me 300 plus listing of sites you done, dont say 3 words like "can be done" ( i know it can), dont copy paste your corporate blabla, just read my proposal, and reply to what I ask.
There is no secret to win a bid - you just need to bid well.
By the way - no payments in advance, escrow is possible, but please dont request payment in advance.
I built a good online reputation so I do not need to pay in advance, i pay when I receive the work.
I know that this can be unfair sometimes, but I do not take risks.
A good thing about having me as a client is that I always have loads and loads of projects since I own a domain and hosting company and I outsource all my clients design and coding requests.
ps: you also need good communication via msn or skype and email off course.
ps 2: you also need to be responsible regarding timmings. I am a freak with timmings, hate delays.
