Conversion script between a CSV file and my Oscommerce Catalog

Hey, I run a Computer website ([[login to view URL]][1]) and it is using the Oscommerce shopping cart system ([login to view URL]). Now, I have previously gotten a script made through [login to view URL] which took my suppliers Excel Spreadsheet's and updated my website with the new products and prices. I can now get a CSV (Comma Separated Value) file from my supplier which contains even more information (things such as weight of the product, image location etc). So, Im wanting a new script to take all the data out of the CSV file and import it into my OsCommerce Database. The script needs to have the option of just changing the price, or changing the price and the product description and everything else (best done through a tick box in the first page of the script). The Image name data in the CSV file is simply a number (such as 1077), and the script needs to check in a certain folder on the webserver to see if the image exists. I will provide full info on how it works. I also have 3 layer categories, which is completely defined in the CSV file. My category mappings are identical to the categories for the CSV file. Basically, my site at the moment will only have products from that one supplier, so things will be identical to the CSV file. The script will also need to output relevant information regarding what its done. For the successful bidder, I will provide a copy of my database (MySQL), and the CSV file. I have also attached the copy of the current script for the Excel file. You can chose to use this file and change it for the CSV file, and then just add the relevant extra data that I will provide full mappings for, or you can chose to create a completely new file for yourself. I will also require updates on how the script is going. ## Deliverables 1) Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done. 2) Deliverables must be in ready-to-run condition, as follows (depending on the nature of the deliverables): a) For web sites or other server-side deliverables intended to only ever exist in one place in the Buyer's environment--Deliverables must be installed by the Seller in ready-to-run condition in the Buyer's environment. b) For all others including desktop software or software the buyer intends to distribute: A software installation package that will install the software in ready-to-run condition on the platform(s) specified in this bid request. 3) All deliverables will be considered "work made for hire" under U.S. Copyright law. Buyer will receive exclusive and complete copyrights to all work purchased. (No GPL, GNU, 3rd party components, etc. unless all copyright ramifications are explained AND AGREED TO by the buyer on the site per the coder's Seller Legal Agreement). 4) At the completion, I will need the programmer to be contactable to fix any bugs/problems that may still exist in the script. NOTE: If the script doesnt do everything that I have stated, you will not get paid anything. This project is either a fully working, or not working at all project. IMPORTANT: The script I have attached to this post CANNOT be used for anything else that is not related directly to testing for this project. You CANNOT use it or modify it for your own OsCommerce Store ## Platform Must be written in ASP (definately NOT .net), as I know ASP quite well myself - I just dont have the time to write it myself. Will be run on Windows Server Will only be run in Internet Explorer Will need to be careful of the script timeout problems. The previous script took quite a while and was very close to having the timeout issues. You might want to have the script run in a few phases - i.e. Phase 1 fixing up the categories listing, Phase 2 checking all the manufacturers, Phase 3 updating the products (you dont have to do it this way - it is just an example, but something will probably have to be looked into).
