Targets of the project are to create one central database and unify the master data, to create an attractive and up-to-date WEB TOOL featuring convenient search, filter and output options.
The concept behind the online directory is a for-pay subsidiary directory which allows the companies to include detailed information displayed in an attractive way including logos, company descriptions and PDF attachments. The user will have the opportunity to view different predefined company listings e.g. companies arranged by industry sector, state or Specific Host Country parent company which enables easy market research. Further more the user may create some outputs (excel and PDF).
The revenue model for the online directory is based on three pillars, premium company profiles, research accesses & DVD sales and advertisement.
The developer’s task comprises:
•Drafting a final requirement sheet including a revised entity relationship model
•Implementation of the database
•Design and implementation of the complete front end
•Functional test with a set of test data
•First trouble shooting
•Data transfer and functional testing
•Second trouble shooting
•Support of the going live process and ongoing maintenance
