Hi, we intend to create and publish a Web Content Management System, based on the Microsoft .NET Framework, and we want to work with you to accomplish that. Initially, before selecting developers to work with, we would like you to tell us how you would approach that project. Essentially, without being responsible for every coding bit, it would be your task to design the system upfront and, of course, do some of the coding as well. We can arrange a profit-sharing etc., but please note that you do not have to post bids here, since we won't accept any. We will, in contrast, contact you on the basis of your ideas and proposals and invite you for a private bidding here at RAC. Requirements: - System's design must include well encapsulated tiers - Will run on IIS 5 or higher, .NET framework, W2K or higher, SQL Server 2000 or higher - Components include: - "Manager App": a Windows Forms rich client to manage multiple content bases on multiple servers - "Content Server": a server side Remoting component hosted in IIS, that communicates with any clients (such as the Manager App) - "Site Connector": a server side set of scripts acting as a "client" as well from the perspective of the Content Server, retrieving contents from the server and rendering it to the client device The system must be highly extensible, and the Content Server should allow for the following features: - CheckIn / CheckOut - Workflow - Multiple language versions of contents - Storage in SQL Server Please include as many individual ideas / comments as possible - any kind of feedback is highly valued. Many thanks, John Smith RedPill Development Consultants
