I have a ASP .net user control which I call a DataPager. It is a fully functional control. What the control does it allows you to connect a Dataset and has an event that generates HTMl per Datarow.. This HTMl is rendered
from another user control. This datapager basically allows you to page through your data, so there will be a forward link / backward link / and also a combobox
which shows you the available pages. There is also text saying displaying 1 of 3 of 100...
The data is generated by a method which takes a DataRow, renders a usercontrol with the data and sends it back to the datapager as a string..
The user specifies how many rows he wants to see per page and all the calculations are done. There is a stored procedure that gets called to
goto the databasa and get the data. The method takes the current page, rows per page and returns correct data..
Everythign seems to function correctly and works greate. I will provide an example of a small project using? the control.
What is the goal of this project, I'd like AJAX implemented to this control so there are no POSTBACK when going to the next page, using the combobox, etc..
Basically the control should be smooth refreshing the data without postbacks when toggling the page links or dropdown. Each time the user switches the data it should
go back to the DB for the new information..
The datapager control is rather small, and note the control works, your job is to implement the AJAX taechnique for smooth data refresh...
