READ THIS FIRST! IF YOU CAN'T BE BOTHERED TO READ THIS ALL THE WAY THROUGH, DO NOT BID ON THE PROJECT. IT WILL BE OBVIOUS FROM YOUR QUESTIONS, WHICH I DON'T HAVE TIME TO ANSWER. THERE IS A FULL DESCRIPTION OF EVERYTHING REQUIRED BELOW - PLEASE TAKE THE TIME TO READ IT - I TOOK THE TIME TO WRITE IT! THANK YOU. We want a script that will check a string of text entered from a web page and go out to the Zone DNS Servers, find domain IP addresses, visit the sites, check to see where that string appear on the page, specifically the following categories: Abuse [login to view URL] Domain Squating [login to view URL] Please take a look at what these reports are. They are a list of web sites where that string appears, and where on the page it appears. If you want to see a site that does such a thing go here: [login to view URL] you can sign-up without having to pay or enter much info, and it will send an email confirmation and you can log in and you will see their report is ready to be purchased. Please try it just to see how fast it is. The second page is a report of domains that have that string in their domain name. The search in this case was just for the word SAVVIS. The only problem with this is that it needs to go out and check about 40 million records. It's not impossible, but it will need to search a lot of Zone DNS Servers. This one is a little bit of a challenge, because we want to be able to get the data back very quickly, and offer it to them in a report if they have not already purchased it, and people will not wait too long for that to happen. We also want the sign-up process to send a confirmation e-mail with a link for them to come back to already logged-in, and with the name of the report and an image on the page they return to, ready to purchase it if they have not already done so, or read it if they have. The script must also be able to handle monthly subscriptions where we check that same string every month and have a report ready on our servers for them to read when they log-in - it should also notify them of the reports availability. Of course, like so many things in life, we need this yesterday. We at least need a first version to try to test it and see if there are bugs, and what the problems will be with many people logging in etc. It is very important that this code can handle a very large amount of traffic and that thousands of people can log-in at the same time. It may not happen, but we can't take the chance. I have several projects on the go just now and don't have time to read responses from people who clearly can't do it, but on my time they will try. If you bid for this project make sure you know how to do all the stuff, and I don't think it's too complicated, and be sure you can deliver it when you say. We are on a very, very tight schedule with this one, so if you need to put it into teams, then so be it. We want it and we want it fast. As usual we have a small budget for this, as it is more of a market test than anything else, so please make sure that you bid as close to or below the maximum bid. We DONT have the budget for anything else and you will be just wasting your time bidding. Also as ususal, we will only pay for this one it is installed on our servers and working properly. We are a reputable company and we pay our programmers on time. If these terms are not acceptable to you, please do not bother to bid. These are the terms that we live by and we don't ever alter them. We used to but we have been burned just too many times. Too many people bid on things they are either not qualified for, or don't have the time for. but we have to live with it, it's the best system we have. After all we are the publishers of several technology publications. That's the reason we don't have large budgets, advertising is way down. But we hope it will be a better year this one.
