This project involves the creation of two short (approximately 30 seconds each) realistic animations using generic plug-ins within Lightwave. The animations are to be part of a tutorial DVD covering different aspects of Lightwave for secondary school students (16+ year olds), in particular the animations should demonstrate particle effects or non-solid objects and also show the effects of various characteristics within an environment. For instance, the interaction of cloth (which is to be combined with fur/grass plug-in) with another object (collisions) and a second animation demonstrating the different reactions between elements such as fire and water (eg water extinguishes fire). The content of the animation will be left entirely to the person that undertakes the task; however one should show cloth interaction with the combination of hair/grass/fur and the other the manipulation of fire and liquid. Some ideas could be a candle blowing in the wind and it starting to rain, eventually the candle extinguished by the rain, as for the cloth this must also include a type of texture or fur generated through plug-ins. The videos MUST demonstrate the use of a number of generic plug-ins found within the software. Please Note: Delivery of the rendered footage can be overlooked as we are willing to accept any finished files prepared for rendering and we will carry that out ourselves. If this is so, the bidder must be able to supply the relevant files three days in advance of the deadline to allow us to allocate the necessary rendering time. Thank you for your interest
