Client needs a streamlined registration process for employees to sign up for his classroom sessions. His current registration tool is inadequate. The new tool should do:
--sign up via web with email confirmation
--print roster & certificate
--automatic rescheduling & cancelling with email confirmation
--put oversubscribed employees on wait list, then move them to class list once an opening opens, with em confirmation
--link to online courses (currently with NetG)
--all should be SAP compliant
--hosted on their intranet
--a browser-based application that can be imported into Outllook for calendaring/email confirmation. They currently use MS Exchange 5.5, but will be moving to MS Exchange 2003 at year's end.
Ideally a recipient would receive a Outlook calendar entry, but they would at least want an email sent that they could save to their calendar.

Provide the capability for the system administrator to register students in bulk.
Allow users to add and label fields for tracking unique data.
Allow the system administrator to copy and move students from one class to another.
Automatically update employee records upon entering attendance status information.
Capture courses that are requested.
Describe the process used by the system administrator for updating and maintaining the field structure and supporting data (drop down menus).
Describe the various ways courses and classes can be set up and students registered.
Feature
Allow employees to register for learning events and have an approval request notice sent to their supervisor via e-mail.
Allow supervisors to review and approve/disapprove training requests with decisions automatically e-mailed to the employee and system administrator.
Allow employees to cancel or reschedule their registrations up to a given cut-off date. Cancellations should require a reason code.
Allow the system administrator the ability to cancel a class or individual registration, as well as the ability to reschedule or change details as necessary.
Automates e-mail notifications of registration, changes and approval to employees with copies to supervisors and the system administrator.
Automates e-mail notification of pending registration approvals to supervisors.
Allow employees to query the system and obtain answers to scheduling questions.
Alert students to classes with “full” status before joining a waitlist.
Allow students to post registration to Outlook calendar.
Allow the system administrator to identify the status for a given class, such as number registered, pending approval, waiting list.
Allow employees to track their own training request approval status.
Have the ability to automatically send e-mail reminders to training registrants
Describe how your product handles e-mail notification of course approval, registration status, course changes and other processes within the registration system.
Describe how your system can restrict registration based on department, position title, cost, etc.
