Update Yahoo Store Order processor from information provided in an XML email. Basically, we need a 'macro' to step through the manual clicks that have to be done by a customer service person when they want to update or charge an order
An email with order information will be sent in XML format to TBD.
The data from the XML email should be extracted and used to update the Yahoo Store order system.
There EDI interface or any direct connection to Yahoo Order System. Rather, code will need to be written such that, the appropriate Yahoo Order webpage is opened up; the system logs in; the system enters the appropriate order information into the web page to find the order; The following information is updated for the order:
This update will include:
Set tracking information to the appropriate field:
hipped, Will ship within 24 hours, etc.
Update Shipping Information (if appropriate):
UPS, USPS, etc and Tracking #
Update the Process through West Coast Merchant Services:
Amount and hit the sale button.
If the Order comes through and is marked Cancelled in the XML file, the same steps for logging in should be followed, but the Cancel Button and the reason details should be entered into the system.
Other items to consider:
Yahoo offers a 30 day free trial period; I would rather not have to use our system for testing purposes. If necessary we can accomodate, but it would be easier for us if this could be done on a test store.
