We are a development team based in Sydney Australia, and have recently developed a video and audio over ip engine for the windows platform. After many months of testing we have completed our beta stage of the back end, and now require the talents of a programmer to create a front end/client for our engine. The front end, will be an instant messenger, very much like skype. It will include a contact list, text and file transfer. The ability to add and remove contacts, preform searches, set device options and network settings etc. Only the GUI is required to be written, all networking, video and audio services will be bound to your GUI front end. We understand QT, is the de-facto standard for developing such applications, but we are open to other development enviorments. We further understand, that C++ is the de-facto standard for the development of GUI front-ends, and we do appreciate this, however our binding to our backend will be done in C - so you must also have very good C experience. The Gui front must at completion be effecient, and take minimum resources and cpu cycles.

Thankyou for everyone's responces.
Although we have specified QT as
a choice for an enviorment. Does
anyone have specically and other
experience in other low level
GUI libraries ..
For all windows platforms. If the gui development enviorment is cross platform this is a plus, but is not mandatory.
