Basically what we are after is a standard style toolbar with some configuration from the current artist/song playing in winamp and settings provided by a remote server (or last used in case of server outtage)
**The toolbar should upon each load:-
**- Send usage stats (basic ones, installs, amount of times accessed etc..)
- If need be, silently and automatically upgrade itself
- Check with a remote settings file the configuration and be able to display the following:-
- Search Fields (automatically retrieve artist - song playing in winamp/media player and place here... Clearable client side history.)
- Buttons
- Links
- Dropdown Lists
- Images (Usually on the buttons)
- Separators
**It should be:-**
- Neat, well presented and have good usability. (Google toolbar is a good example)
- Able to be shown/hidden via a IE Button (See alexa 'a' for an example)
- Support Winamp 2, 3, 5 and the common Windows Media Players.
**Installation:-
**The file should be small, and installation transperant to the user. Delivery of the file to visitors should be through an activex prompt (I'll pay for certificate) and should only be displayed to users who dont allready have the toolbar installed.
The toolbar should be able to download and update it self silently when new versions are released.
Uninstallation should be through the add/remove programs panel.
**Pluses:-** If you can provide any one of these please say so in your bid, they will be appreciated.
- Coded in vb (c++, vb.net are okay, but not prefered, if using them please state in your bid)
- Popup Blocker..
- HTML Injection..
- Auto Redirection at 404, 500, dns errors etc..
(The above three should be configured in the server config file)
**I Edited to include attachment, please read.
