We provide transaction processing software to the UK betting industry. Our software is written is C, C++ and Delphi.
In part of what we do we scan written slips of paper filled out by customers, and save the images.
We would in addition like to integrate code which would recognise a scanned image as belonging to a pre-defined form, and then pass the data marked on that form into the application.
The form may be an OMR form or other type, but will not require OCR. Typical forms of this kind would be "lottery" type forms.
We will require a separate program utility which will allow for the creation of a library of pre-defined forms and their management. Ideally this will allow for forms to be scanned a number of times in a training mode - data mark areas will then be defined on the on-screen form, and the form saved.
When a competed form is scanned, it's type will be recognised and the data derived.
This will be used on a standard desktop PC running windows with a scanner peripheral.
