We need to capture and record the stream from Windows Media Encoder (Version 9) and create windows media files. The current functionality of Windows Media Encoder requires that the encoding session needs to end in order to archive a file. We need Encoder to run for a long time but to create WMV files from it every ten minutes or so (must be configurable). It is anticipated that a packet capture/recording solution will be required. There is a similar utility that captures streamed files (from a streaming source not encoder source) that is very close to our needs WM Recorder 7.0 found at [url removed, login to view] Also see [url removed, login to view] We will provide a WME profile to use for setting up Windows Media Encoder. This utility is for our own internal use and is not intended to be used in any way that will compromise copyright issues.
1) Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done. 2) Installation package that will install the software (in ready-to-run condition) on the platform(s) specified in this bid request. 3) Complete ownership and distribution copyrights to all work purchased. 4) C++ or VB app with source code that enables Recording of Windows Media Files from a local Windows Media encoder session. 5) Two instances of the encoder stream recorder must be able to record from each Windows Media Encoder session to allow overlapping files. 6) The recorded files must be valid WMV files. 7) The file lengths must be any length desired. 8) There must be no quality loss (in other words, the quality must match the output of the Windows Media Encoder) 9) CPU load for the stream recorder must be minimal.
