We, a startup tech company, are looking for someone interested in a medium-sized project involving toolbars that transmit form-data from desktop applications to our database (online) through SOAP.
The toolbars will be installed into 2-4 applications (see below) and from there allow importing of any form. After "installation", the visitor can fill out the form in the application. The data is "intercepted" and stored, allowing the user to browse through all local records before they are uploaded to our database. Searching and deleting records should also be supported. In the end the user can then transfer the records to our online database through SOAP and then the local versions are deleted.
Local versions should be stored in a very simple XML schema that we will supply. All other communication between the webservice and the application can be discussed with our development team. There will be no coding required on the server-side, only the local client.
The plugins must be available for
* Microsoft Excel
* Adobe Acrobat
and if possible:
* Adobe Reader
* Microsoft Word
Detailed functionality required:
* Install Form:
Send a schema of form-fields to our database (on-the-fly database creation). For final installation, a browser window will open with a URL to finish the installation procedure. Once installed, the plugin will then "tag" the form and data entered into the form is also captured by the plugin.
* Next Record & Previous Record
Browse the records
* Delete Record
Remove the records
* Find Record(s)
Search through local records (the values only).
* Submit Record
Options to submit current record only or all local versions. This feature is like a "Submit" button in the form (the submit buttons in the form should be changed to a 'save' functionality).
* Create new Record
Creates a blank form and saves the currently-active record.v
